Good ventilation in a working shop isn't optional - it's what keeps the space usable. Hot rod shops in particular deal with fumes, heat buildup, and dust on a daily basis. A proper exhaust fan does a lot of heavy lifting to keep that environment safe and comfortable.

Here's what we were working with: a past client needed a wall-mounted exhaust fan added to their custom hot rod shop. Straightforward enough, but the finish work is where it mattered. We framed the opening, set the fan unit, and trimmed it out in cedar on the exterior. Cedar holds up well against weather and gives the opening a clean, finished look rather than just a raw hole in the siding.

The inside trim came together just as cleanly - a painted frame that sits flush against the wall paneling and makes the unit look like it was always meant to be there. The fan itself is mounted solid with no gaps or slop in the fit. That kind of tight install keeps air moving the right direction and keeps pests and weather out.

The whole thing was wrapped up in a couple hours. That's the thing about smaller jobs - they don't need to drag on. We do a lot of work like this for clients we've built a relationship with over time. Framing, carpentry, electrical hookup - it all comes together in one visit rather than coordinating multiple trades.

Not every job is a full renovation. Sometimes you just need something done right, by someone who shows up and knows what they're doing. That's exactly the kind of work we're happy to take on.
